Looking for a “classic” that is an easy and fun read
I love classics, but all my recent reads have been heavy and hard to follow. I would like to read something that is easier to read and good for relaxation, but still ranks as a classic.
Pride and Prejudice. It’s just people going round to each other’s houses.

The Gambler is surprisingly easy and fun to go through.

The “Chronicles of Avonlea” short story collection books from LM Montgomery. They’re written by a classics writer but may not be regarded as classic because they’re short stories written in Montgomery’s classic style with a dash of light humor added in throughout. But they are fun and easy and a way to get out of a contemporary books rut you may find yourself in, plus they’re free ebook downloads.
