Recently read Kala by Colin Walsh and I absolutely adored it. While I enjoyed the book as a whole, I realised I especially enjoyed just reading about a friend group. Was therefore wondering if anyone had recommendations for this, aka books that are heavily focused on a group of friends and their lives. It’s a big plus if it’s a younger group of people, as in people in their late teens to early twenties. Another plus if there’s some romance within the group as well (though preferably not a love triangle).

As for genre I don’t really mind. Kala is considered a thriller/mystery and I loved that, but I also wouldn’t mind reading about someone’s completely ordinary life, if that makes sense.

Thank you so much for any recommendations!!

Margaret Stiefvater’s Raven Cycle series might work for this!

The Secret History by Donna Tartt has thriller/mystery elements and is about a friend group, but the friend group dynamic definitely isn’t healthy. This book is still worth reading just for the prose.
