I just finished this book today. It's honestly one of, if not, the best book I've ever read. But there were times when I was sooo frustrated with the parents…like when the father (Rex) broke the kids' piggy bank when they had been saving up money for months and blew the money on booze…or just reading about when Jeannette wanted to run track in school, but couldn't because she had no money to buy the uniform..it really made me grateful for what I have in my own life and I definitely recommend this book. (TW for sexual assault).
