I’ve always loved to read and I love a good book…but truth be told I haven’t finished a book since college (10 years ago!). I have started a few here and there but life gets busy and I stop reading (I have three kids, and I read their books more than my own!). I find it’s so much easier to read short articles or Reddit discussions on my phone instead of sitting down and having the head space to read more than a page. For a while, I would read before bed with a book light, I may try that again.

How can I build back my reading habits that I used to have? Does anyone have any tips? Thanks!

    1. I have a kindle and a lot of physical books, but I find I mostly read on the kindle app on my phone. The continuous scrolling makes it feel less like reading a book, and for whatever reason, that makes me more willing to read for only a couple minutes a time. Standing in line at the bank? Read a little. Grocery store line? Same thing. Waiting for the kids to get out of school? You get it.

I read a lot spaced out over a day, but I don’t often have a lot of time to read all at once.
