I’m looking for some fantasy/science fiction books to listen to. My preferences tend to run more YA, mainly bc I always loved Newberry winners and nominees as opposed to “Best Seller’s” or some celebrity’s top picks.
I love to listen to science fi podcasts and I loved the Hitchhiker’s Guide to the Galaxy series.
My top fav fantasy books are: The Chronicles of Prydain by Lloyd Alexander, The Books of Earthsea by Ursula K. LeGuin, The Dark is Rising Series by Susan Cooper, The Harry Potter books, The Inheritance Cycle by Christopher Paolini

If you like earthsea and hitchhikers, I always reccomend discworld. It’s like the fantasy equivalent of hitchhikers.
Anything by Neil gaiman will be a safe bet if you’re a fan of le guin, I’d esp reccomend starting with something like American gods or good omens
The sol majestic is a recent fave of mine. It’s a scifi about a restraunt in space, kinda funny but also deeply moving
If you haven’t read le guins other work, I also just can’t recommend the rest of it enough
If you like Harry potter / Eragon and sci-fi – try genesis echo by d. Hollis Anderson – the audiobook was just released and is really good
