I’m looking for a book that satirizes/critiques nerd culture’s obsession with nostalgia/pop culture references and the way fixating on the past is a waste of the present.

So I thought Ready Player One was basically this until I read it, then read some of Ernest Cline’s other stuff and realized that it’s just kind of a bad book written by a not great person
