Books where you’re thrown into a world without everything being explained?
Anything where you’re just thrown in the middle of it and left to figure it out on your own? Any genre, I’m not picky, but I assume this will apply mostly to fantasy/scifi.

The Chronicles of the Black Company by Glen Cook drops you into the middle of a city in chaos. The narrator is very much NOT omniscient. It’s fantastic!
