I am looking for books that have interesting things to say on how stories, myths and ideas develop, change and what is considered “legitimate” and why. Think The Hero with a Thousand Faces. I would prefer books that are not bound to mythological or biblical hermeneutics, but those are more than okay if they have interesting things to say. I am looking for non-fiction books in specific, but if you know of a piece of fiction with deals with this kind of thing as a theme feel free to suggest it.
