Looking for books with well written interesting characters that you feel like you know by the end of the book.
Shouldn’t just be one character that you get to know but at least a few.
Open on plot and genre. But should at least have some plot that keeps you engaged.
Books that I like that for this are:
Overstory
Cloud cuckoo land
Tommorow, tomorrow and tomorrow
Remarkably bright creatures

When We Were Young by Richard Roper
Mary Jane by Jessica Anya Blau
Me before you
If you liked Cloud Cuckoo Land, you could look into All the Light We Cannot See (same author: Anthony Doerr). What you loved about Konstance, Omeir, Zeno, etc., you’ll come to feel about the characters in ATLWCS (Marie-Laure, Werner, Jutta… they’re all so easy to believe in and love).
Goldfinch. The characters are so nuanced, multi-layered and just fascinating in general. I think about them often! I wish the book was longer.
The Space Adventures Of Commander Laine. You will love those characters.
“My Sweet Audrina,” by V.C. Andrews
“Howl the Wolf,” by Julie Haubert
The Vanishing Half by Brit Bennett
If I Had Your Face by Frances Cha
The invisible life of addie larue? That book feels like it should be a classic
