This is an incredibly specific request so I don’t expect many answers but I thought I would give it a try. Does anyone know of books that are fictional (or at least have a narrative), that explore themes of Urban design and city planning?
The closest I can think of is the Dispossessed by Le Guin, which among everything else on going on in the book did have some brief but interesting explorations of how the cities and their infrastructure worked and how their planning was a result of the culture their societies. The City and the Stars by Arthur C Clarke had a bit of this as well.
Any suggestions? I’ll take literally any genre, I just want to read something that feels more like a story and less like a textbook 🙂
