My friend recently shared that they’re expecting, and I want to build a little library for the little one to be. I already have quite a few, but would to love know your favorite books as a child, or your children’s favorites!
These are books I’ve given to friends that have been a hit:
Over and Under the Pond, Kate Messner
Ocean Meets Sky, the Fan Brothers
Franklin’s Flying Bookshop, Jen Campbell
Oona, Kelly DiPucchio
Bathe the Cat, Alice B. McGinty
Luna and the Moon Rabbit, Camille Whitcher

I honestly just want to upload pictures of my kids’ bookshelves. Can’t go wrong with anything by:
Sandra Boyton
Leslie Patricelli
Anna Dewdney (llama llama)
Sophie Beer
Richard Scary
Maurice Sendak
Andrea Beaty
Mo Willems
Oliver Jeffers
Nerdy Babies series
Pot Pot Fish series
Also try:
Ferdinand, How To Help A Friend, I Like Myself, Dragons Love Tacos, Good Morning City, Do Bulldozers Have Butts, Our Subway Baby, Rainbow Parade, Prince and Knight, Maiden and Princess, Ducky Ducky Likes To Moo
I’ll add more when my toddler wakes up and I can see the books in her room. O

One of my go to’s is *Time for Bed* by Mem Fox with illustrations by Jane Dyer. This was a nightly read for several years. The drawings are beautiful.
