My boyfriend and I (24, M&F) are technically doing a book club. We started one mystery thriller but neither of us wanted to be in that mood anymore. I’m currently listening to the hitchhikers guide to the galaxy (narrator is Stephen fry so it’s actually perfect) and I’d love to read something like that with him.
Something fun and a little quirky and interesting! We’re both a little picky but we like science fiction and fantasy, not super romance focused, I’ll even take a really funny memoir (not bossypants, though,).
Something goofy and silly that doesn’t take it self seriously. And if it’s good enough, I’ll read it without him too lol,
TIA!

In a Sunburned Country by Bill Bryson is really funny. It’s about his travels in Australia. All of his books are funny but this one is my favorite.
Terry Pratchett’s Discworld books might fit well: Guards! Guards; Mort; Small Gods; are all excellent – funny, quirky, fantasy
Loved Christopher Moore’s Lamb.
Also, you can’t go wrong with Vonnegut.
