Hi! As per title. I’m a computer scientist student, so I already know the technical part; I’d love to find a book that analyses the ethical and social consequences of latest AI models.

Everything I found so far is either
    – from before 2020, hence it’s before the boom of ChatGPT/Midjourney, and doesn’t take into account how big of an impact LLMs/Stable Difffusion had. I’m not opposed to reading older books, but I’m concerned that their take might be very outdated.
    – (even worse) some very sci-fi and uninformed take on how AI are sentient – which at the moment they are not – and will autonomously rebel on humanity and bring the apocalypse.

For example: bring me data and real-life examples on how AI trained on biased datasets discriminated non-white people in a medical setting (or how it managed to not do that); tell me how can bias in datasets are minimized, and which (if any) industry has taken steps to do that; how many people lost their job to AI; what is the role of country legislation in AI regulation…

Bonus points if it also tackles the impact of AIs on education and their use in schools.

    Thank you!
