There is 4 of us total in my mini summer book club, we are all in college and have not read much of anything since high school.
For our first book we read was The silent patient and that was a great hit with us. We are struggling to find another book we would be interest in. We enjoy the thriller/mystery type genres as well as books that has interesting twists and endings! We all had read silence of the lambs in high school as well and loved it, we have looked into the other books but we have yet to agree on those just yet. We also all read To Kill a Mockingbird and enjoyed that as well! We prefer a little bit of shorter chapters (5-10 pages maybe?) As well as not a lot of shifting POVs, we recently did not want to start Dirt Creek – Heyley Scrivenor mostly just because we dislike the constant POV shifts. We all also enjoy cryptids, but we have yet to find a book here we can agree on! Any suggestions are welcome. Thank You !

I would suggest the maidens by Alex michaelides.
It’s a mystery/thriller book set in Cambridge England with short chapters.
Not a thriller, but I’ll never not recommend: Circe by Madeline Miller.
No POV switches that I can remember. Just a fascinating exploration of a side character from The Odyssey, from a new perspective! It’s great.
Carrie by Stephen King
Then There Were None by Agatha Christie
Where Eagles Dare by Alastair MacLean
