There are few books which has psychological thriller and new York best seller tags (example little secrets ,pretty girls, bring me back etc) every book in this category has the same pattern ,everything is convenient, there are back stories to justify everything, everything is spoon fed there is no space to keep ourselves in the shoes of the character and think about it , support or vouch for them , I’m done with these kind of books, don’t fall for the new York best seller tag people are falling again and again for theses kind of books they don’t realise everything is same just with few changes in story and characters boom its a brand new book, I have read around 20 similar books by different authors but the core and writing is exactly fucking same. for guys who may come across and thinking to read these kind of books please avoid it ,we are going to read only few books maybe a 200 in life time better not mess it up. All the books which has 4 stars in good reads are literal shit. I’m not trying to generalize here but its better to stay away from JENIFER HILLER, KARIN SLAUGHTER, HELLEN COVER and authors who are similar to them all they write is bunch of bs and people are going crazy over it.

I think you would enjoy “Gone Girl” by Gillian Flynn
I think you are growing as a reader, so it is normal not to feel engaged by simple commercial fiction anymore.
Since you enjoy thrillers/mysteries, I advise you to read Megan Abbot, Gillian Flynn, and Dennis Lehane, since they tackle psychological topics with more depth, and develop their characters realistically, and have a more literary writing style.
Check *Beware The Woman, Dark Places,* and *Mystic River.*
