While I love my job more than anything, it can be difficult to decide what to read after spending most of my time helping others do just that. At the end of the day I’m only 22 and literally just a girl, and sometimes a girl simply needs someone else to tell her what to read.
So, let’s turn the tables. Recommend me a book! Any book! Your favourite book! A book you’d never read again! One that made you cry or giggle or blush or get existential or feel like you were riding an edible-induced fever dream! I love airy romances, epic fantasies and unhinged books concerning womanhood, but tbh I’ll read just about anything and likely enjoy it.
Of course I read lots as part of my job, but even if you think your suggestion is too mainstream or you think I’d have heard of it, tell me anyway! Us booksellers know our stuff, but plenty of famous and intriguing reads slip through the cracks. Just try and sell it to me like your local bookseller would to you!
