The last 2 books I’ve really enjoyed have been Night Circus and Piranesi. I really love a lighthearted whimsical peaceful read? If there are any books like this out there I love magical realism and romance and slice of life. I want a wacky good ole dreamy time!

The House in the Cerulean Sea hit the spot for me for cozy fantasy; a little darker but really funny fantasy is Neverwhere by Neil Gaiman!
The Invisible Life of Addie LaRue
Blackwater and/or The Elementals by Michael McDowell (he wrote beetlejuice). Southern gothic magical romantic dreamy and just good.
In Watermelon Sugar by Richard Brautigan
*howl’s moving castle* – dianna wynne jones
*the girl with borrowed wings* – rinsai rossetti (this does have a darker tone at times. but the sweet, dreamy, romantic scenes are just. so lovely. and the story is ultimately uplifting)
*graffiti moon* – cath crowley
also, haven’t read these yet, but they seem like they could be a good fit!
*feathertide* – beth cartwright
*gabriel and the swallows* – esther dalseno
*don’t date rosa santos* – nina moreno
*the emperor of paris* – c.s. richardson
*galore* – michael crumney
