The Bell Jar by Silvia Plath. Follows a young woman who experiences a mental breakdown after a series of personal disappointments, including romantic heartbreak.
Sharp Objects by Gillian Flynn. Fresh off a break up, a journalist returns to her home town to cover a series of brutal murders.

Unfortunately, it’s not a book, but I know a movie that fits that description. Let me know if you want to know anyway.

The Power by Naomi Alderman is all about women transforming by gaining the power to channel electricity through their bodies. Men around the world lose their minds.
Tremendous read, but maybe not the “heartbreak” part you are looking for.

The Awakening by Kate Chopin. This is my favorite novel of all time and my most-read.
The main character’s transformation is the main story arc, but after her heartbreak, her story takes a turn as she truly sees her life for what is and decides how to be at peace with it.

Well technically – The Lives and Loves of a She-Devil, by Faye Weldon would fit.
