I’m a guy who’s new in the area I’m in, no friends here but I’m looking to meet people. I was hoping to possibly find a book club to start, since there aren’t many third spaces or walkable areas here and my only recourse thus far has been the Bumble friends app. Additionally, any of the book clubs I’ve tried to find online in my area are either online only, women’s spaces, or dedicated to YA/books that don’t interest me. So, I figured I might try and make one myself.
How do I go about planning it, publicizing it so that I can find people potentially interested, etc? I’d love to be able to cultivate a coed space of even three or four other people to start that I can read books that more closely align to my reading interests with.
