trying to find something cute and simple for my sister

hey all!! trying to find some books to get for my sister who is about to go into scoliosis surgery. she is really nervous, so i wanna get her some things to pass the time while she’s recovering.

she wants to get into reading, but she’s pretty nervous about picking things out in general (she’s got some mental health issues, so doing anything is pretty hard for her). i want to buy her 2 – 3 books but we have completely different tastes in general, so that’s why i’m asking you guys!

here is what she is and is not interested in:

– she likes romance but 10000% not m x f. f x f is preferred but m x m is okay.
– female main characters preferred
– MUST BE swf. nothing spicy, can’t even hint at it.
– young adult is preferred but doesn’t really matter
– romance can be center of the plot
– can’t be too scary (no murder, no ghosts)
– happy endings
– not a series if possible
– very simple, preferably short but doesn’t really matter

for reference, she likes things like princess jellyfish and sanrio. she also likes madoka and batman, but she doesn’t want to read anything too scary because she is going through a lot. she is gay so anything that has lesbian romance is preferred. basically just a cute gay lesbian love story that ends happily.
