    Had 2 kids in the last few years which has been wonderful, but hasn’t left much time for reading for my enjoyment (I’ve got Brown Bear, Brown bear memorized though).

    I’m looking for some suggestions of books that could be fun to start reading! I honestly don’t even know what’s come out in the last few years and would be interested in any suggestions for some easy not too dense books to get back into reading.

    Some recent reads or books I can always reread listed below:
    Harry Potter
    Song of Lioness Quartet
    Pride and Prejudice
    Cutting for stone
    The seven husbands of Evelyn Hugo

    1. A court of thorns and roses by Sarah Maas (fantasy)

      It happened one summer by Tessa Baily (contemporary)

      Captive of the Pirate King by Rebecca Kenney (pirates)

      I’ve recently been obsessing over Fourth wing by Rebecca Yarrows book 2 comes out in nov. there’s a lot of hype around it and some like it some don’t but I do feel like it gives off early 2000’s YA vibes but written for adults looking for that nostalgia. Easy read but not high fantasy.

    2. Harry Potter is a middle grade fantasy, so I would recommend another compulsively readable middle grade fantasy, Amari and the Night Brothers.

      The Guernsey Literary and Potato Peel Pie Society, Strong Poison by Dorothy Sayers, Black Water sister by Zen Cho, the Wee Free Men and sequels by Terry Pratchett

      {{Clean Sweep by Ilona Andrews}}

      I love it, the series is fun, imaginative, original and not focused on romance (although of course there is interest). I’ve reread the series 3 times this year.
