I have started a mini book club with my friend from University (it’s just the two of us, so it’s actually not that big of a club) and I find myself struggling to put in any good recommendations (we decided to build the list together and so far both of the books that have been my picks have not been great).
To give you some more context, her picks so far have been *The Death of Ivan Ilych* and *White Nights*. Both of which we both enjoyed reading and took about two weeks to finish (we are both very busy and I’m particularly a slow reader please don’t judge me). My first pick was *To the Lighthouse* which we both agreed on not finishing because we didn’t like the pacing (forgive me, but it was so boring it made me want to study). My second pick was *A Brave New World* which I don’t think she is enjoying and I personally have taken a month to get halfway through it–so another bad pick.
I honestly feel bad for being so bad at recommending books at this point, so I’m asking you guys to help me find some books that we would be able to read within two weeks (which means 100-200 page range–again I’m slow and we’re busy), we both like classics, so that would be nice. I’m sorry if this is overly specific, and thank you in advance.
