One of my favorite books for spooky October is The Return by Rachel Harrison. Love the hotel setting, the gradual buildup of dread and horror, and the supernatural element that wasn’t overtly blatant. Anyone have similar book recommendations? I am very into the creeping feeling of ‘everything is not alright here’ and the hotel in the middle of nowhere vibe this book had.
