My 6-year-old is a very avid reader, we are reading series like **Narnia**, wild robot, we read a lot of **Roald Dahl,** many **scholastic** books, he reads a lot of **non-fiction** on his own. Recently he read **sideway stories from wayside schoo**l. I don’t recall the name there was another fantasy with a prince.

I am looking for more good literature stuff for exposure to vocabulary and ideas. He is a curious kid, loves stories featuring animals, weird school, space things, magic. He just grabs any book he can see and starts reading.

I am also trying to strike a balance so the themes he reads are age-appropriate, sometimes it becomes hard for me to explain things like contradictory actions/ morality that an older kid can understand.

Now he wants to read Harry Potter, he heard about it from a friend. His dad got the first book for him and by the time I returned home yesterday he has already read several pages.

I haven’t read Harry Potter so I have no idea. Now, I don’t want to censor but also want him to be exposed to difficult ideas cautiously.

    Please share your suggestions !
