I didn’t get into reading until I was an adult. I didn’t read John Green until I was in my 20s, but embarrassingly I read every book and really enjoyed them. I am into kind of more teenish books I guess in that sense. I like books aimed towards teens since I never read books as a teen. I’m not into raunchy sexy time books. I also read a Good Girls Guide to Murder and I just loved it. I also loved Inheritance Games, They Both Died at the End, and It’s Kind of a Funny Story. I’m looking for suggestions of books kind of along those lines.

Married to a hood legend is a great book!!!
The [Gallagher Girls](https://app.thestorygraph.com/books/43642370-774c-4e8d-8613-b541c7b15269) series by Ally Carter is fun!
Rainbow Rowell’s books are great- start with Eleanor and Park.
Also, Why We Broke Up by Daniel Handler
There’s nothing embarrassing about this! Here are some of my favorite contemporary realistic YA-ish books that hold up for adult readers:
* “Anna and the French Kiss” by Stephanie Perkins – if you like this, she has two more books in the same “universe”
* “Emmy and Oliver” and “Far From the Tree” (both standalones) by Robin Benway
* “The Statistical Probability of Love at First Sight” by Jennifer E. Smith
* “The Disreputable History of Frankie Landau Banks” by E. Lockhart
Any of Emily Henry’s books! (theres a little bit of raunch but it’s not distracting)
