How Hitler rose to power, his ideologies, what he was saying during those hot headed speeches-stuff like that. My ears were perked about Hitler when I heard someone saying that he was only able to start ww2 because he ditched international bankers. That type of disruption makes for an interesting read imo.

Book about Nazis rise and fall. How they conquered Europe and how they were defeated. I just want to have a good comprehension of what happened.

I’d prefer if the suggestions were unbiased lol

    Thanks

    1. The rise and fall of the third reich by William shirer in reading it now it’s pretty good

The Death of Democracy: Hitler’s Rise to Power and the Downfall of the Weimar Republic by Benjamin Carter Hett would be a good start as uses quite current research and also has plenty of references for further reading.

The first major English biography of Adolf Hitler by Alan Bullock titled *Hitler: A Study in Tyranny* is still a good read, but there are more modern biographies which are better because of the more available information in the archives.

Historian Ian Kershaw’s two-volume biography published as *Hitler 1889-1936: Hubris* and *Hitler 1936-1945 Nemesis* are absolutely excellent books to read even though there are over 20 years old.

The most recent biography has to be Volker Ullrich’s two-volume biography published as *Hitler: Ascent, 1889-1939* and *Hitler: Downfall 1939-1945* are brilliant. The books  are without a doubt the most up to date with regard to the archives, information, testimonies, memoirs, etc, being used as sources. It will be hard to surpass Ullrich’s biography. There’s nothing wrong with Kershaw’s books even now, but a lot of information in the archives has surfaced in over 20 years respectfully.

With regard to the Nazis and their rise and fall, you can’t go wrong with Richard J. Evans’ trilogy, *The Coming of the Third Reich*, *The Third Reich in Power* and *The Third Reich at War*. Everything is in those books, from the start of the Nazi Party, the gradual increase, the way they came to power, how they kept the German people under control, how they soared in popularity, how Nazi propaganda convinced millions and millions of Germans to think of Adolf Hitler as a God and so on.
