I just finished today and loved it. But I’m wondering, for others who read it, did you also come away with the impression that Chick numbing the pain of others meant him taking on that pain himself? I found his character almost more ominous than Arty, even though he’s being used. The whole story really had me thinking of what was going on behind the scenes and what wasn’t being shown. It’s a really eerie story.

Geek Love is my favorite book ever, I think about it almost daily. It’s been years since I read it for the first time, since then I’ve read it probably three times but I’m still always thinking about it and seeing things differently.
