I’m looking for some books that just have characters confessing in just really romantic ways! The book itself does not have to be a full on romance novel; a romantic subplot is fine as well. The genders and sexual orientations of the characters do not matter. I love lots of pining and I dislike domineering male leads.
Thank you in advance!

Jane Austen had some great ones. Marianne (sense and sensibility) and Emma were the first two I thought of. I don’t want to spoil too much but definitely recommend.
Romance-obsessed-teenage me couldn’t get enough of them.
This is how you lose the time war by El mothar and Gladstone is perfect for this!
Captain Wentworth’s letter to Anne in Persuasion by Jane Austen is a masterpiece.
This is an easy popcorn romance but {Romancing the Duke by Tessa Dare} has a very lovely romantic proclamation once it comes! I may have simultaneously been pumping my fist and crying at the same time.
