Hello, everyone this is my first time using this sub. If there’s a better way I can ask for a book suggestion/request let me know.
I want to start reading horror, though I usually read romance books. Some semi-horror related stuff I’ve enjoyed in the past are the Market of Monsters trilogy by Rebecca Schaeffer and John Marrs’ thriller, The One.
Based on these books, can you suggest me some horror I might like?

If you like m/m romance with your haunted house, try The Mysterious and Amazing Blue Billings by Lily Morton
In a Dark, Dark Wood by Ruth Ware! More of a thriller than horror but may fit the bill!
YA but Monsters of Verity series and House of Furies series

The Psycop Series by Jordan Castillo Price is M/M psychic/ghost setting lots of mildly creepy stuff
I’ll always rec Gaiman, his favorite of mine that verges into creepy fantasy is Neverwhere
Boy’s Life by Robert McCammon coming of age/magical realism meets horror
The Last to See Me by M. Dressler is a ghost story I liked quite a lot. Haven’t read rest of series yet
Stephen King is an obvious one to start on, but I’ll rec Bag of Bones, or maybe Lisey’s Story
