When it comes to books, my terrible attention span usually requires something that immediately sucks you with an intriguing introduction and makes you *need* to know more. But sometimes books start off great this way and then end up falling flat. So I’m looking for suggestions that keep you turning the page even after the initial hook. TYIA!!!

The End of the World Running Club by Adrian J Walker
Starts in the very beginning with a catastrophic asteroid strike and pretty much never lets up
It took a few pages but Blake Crouch’s man-on-the-run thriller **Dark Matter** launches and doesn’t slow down.
*Lolita* for sure. One of the most famous opening paragraphs in fiction.
Old Man’s War by John Scalzi definitely had me in the first paragraph and didn’t let me down.
