I’m looking for books with base-building/kingdom-building/crafting as its main focus. Books where one or more people are having to build up from basically nothing in a sci-fi setting using something like 3D printers, nanites, and robots.
Books similar to what I’m looking for:
* Bobiverse series by Dennis E. Taylor
* Sigma 16 on Royal Road by Erios909
* Derelict by Dean Henegar
* Inheritance by Morgan Cole
* Post-Human on Royal Road by J P Koenig
From the books that I’ve listed I’m trying to get stories that have a flare of survival and/or crafting from games like Subnautica and Factorio. It can be anywhere from a group of people trying to set up a colony on an alien world to building infrastructure in space.
It doesn’t have to be litrpg or dungeon core and it’s ok if it’s on sites similar to Royal Road. Non-human MC (Like an AI or an alien) are also welcome, but not needed.

Not exactly what you’re looking for, but “A Close and Common Orbit” by Becky Chambers has a long subplot where one character rebuilds a ship from junkyard scrap to serve as a home and eventual spaceship. It’s dark in some ways, though, especially why the character is in the position of having to do this
