Cyrano DE Bergerac can always make me cry; an unparalleled swordsman and poet that lets his unconventional appearance keep him from going after true happiness

    2. “The Things We Can Not Say” by Kelly Rimmer. Unique dual storyline composition. Alternating first person stories past and current. Great audiobook narration that enhances the story and characters. It’s sort of bittersweet throughout. The ending is either bittersweet or sad, depending on the reader. 4 generations are all beautifully presented.

It’s not a “romance novel” per se but ultimate love and devotion that survives time and separation is what drives the story.

    3. The Sight of You by Holly Miller. It’s similar to the Time Traveller’s Wife in that it has a romantic plot with a sci-fi twist (one of the main characters has premonition dreams about the people they love and so has always avoided romantic relationships).

    4. Honor by Thrity Umrigar

Never Let Me Go by Kazuo Ishiguro

Cassandra in Reverse by Holly Smale

Daisy Jones & the Six by Taylor Jenkins Reid. This one was sad to me, idk if the ending would be considered sad to every reader.
