I absolutely loved these two books and I’m looking for more like them. I listened to the audiobook versions and I just love the gritty, haunting moods, the mix with sci fi, and being able to personally relate.
3 books come to mind that I have loved in this vein:
– *The Girl With All The Gifts* by Mike Carey
– *The Echo Wife* by Sarah Gailey
– *The Stars Are Legion* by Kameron Hurley
I also liked *Piranesi* by Susanna Clark but I’m looking for female protagonists. To be clear, I’m not looking for straight up horror. Thanks!
