I am in a relationship and a parent of my partner shows overbearing/narcissistic traits. I am currently trying to understand this a bit more, specifically how to set healthy boundaries and how it affects my partner. Thus, I would like to read books that have characters dealing with overbearing/narcissistic characters. **The exact relationship (sibling/parent/grandparent/in-laws/…) does not matter to me.**

\- **Fiction**. I prefer to read fiction, but if there is a non-fiction book that has helped you, please also recommend.

\- **No misery porn**. I don’t want to read books which treat a victim only as a victim and I don’t want to suffer through 90% of the book if the suffering is pointless.

\- **Bonus points for relationship dynamics**: If there are dynamics where people change their relation and/or draw healthy boundaries. It does not have to be a happy ending.
