So, my mother (64) and I have always been prolific readers. Different tastes, for sure, but we devour books. We lost my grandmother a year ago and my mother just… stopped reading.
She really enjoyed writers like Jonathan Kellerman, John Sanford and Patricia Cornwell. I believe she particularly liked the “Prey” series, by Sanford. She’s always had a definite taste for crime novels.
I know that part of why she stopped is the general feeling that her life and feelings had become too heavy. But she has expressed a desire to start reading again. I would deeply appreciate any suggestions, either of just solidly good crime type novels, and especially some that are maybe a little breezy, but still interesting or entertaining. Thank you so much, anyone who replies!
