I just finished the 4 book series John Dies at the End, by David Wong/Jason Pargin and I loved it! Bereft, though, at having finished the series. Looking for another book of similar feel and style. Any suggestions?
Yahtzee Croshaw’s **Will Save the Galaxy For Food** looks at space pilot heroes put out of work by technological advances. The protagonist is a mashup of Crocodile Dundee and Han Solo.
John Scalzi’s **Redshirts** is a satire of space-operas from the point of view of “expendable” crew members.
Sci-fi to a lesser extent, John Scalzi’s **Starter Villain** has a substitute teacher inherit a villainy from his estranged uncle. It spoofs early James Bond movies.
