Hi guys! Since last year I’ve been making an effort to read! I was hoping someone could suggest me books that are somehow similar (but not the same; just similar vibe, setting, plot, dynamic etc) to the ones I’ve liked the most! For context I’m 22yo.
Books:
-My favorite books so far are :
Wuthering heights by Emily Bronte ,
The secret history by Donna tarte ,
If we were villains by m. L. Rio,
The night circus by Erin Morgesten ,
No longer human by Osamu Dazai
-I’ve read and also like:
Pride and Prejudice by Jane Austen ,
Jayne Eyre by Charlotte Bronte,
The song of Achilles by Madeline Miller ,
The picture of Dorian gray by Oscar Wilde
-Would not re read:
They both die at the end by Adam Silverado ,
If you’re ready hit enter ,
paper towns by John green ,
-I couldn’t finish:
Ana Karenina by Tolstoy ,
Emma by Jane Austen ,
* I’ve watched the series of Harry Potter,Lotr and the Hunger games way too many times to read the books too.
-Genre:
Dark Academia,
Romance ,
Fantasy,
Psychological fiction ,
Enemies to Lovers ,
(Murder) Mystery ,
Suspense ,
I like psychology , morally grey characters, sarcasm, rebels and books that make me re think my opinions after I read them
-No:
No more than 500 pages
No horror!!!
No Coleen Hoover
No overly complicated writing because my first language isn’t english 😅
I either made it very easy or very difficult I’m sorry if it’s the second one:(

Since you liked *The Night Circus*, you might also like *The Starless Sea* which is also by Erin Morgenstern.
People love *Piranesi* by Susanna Clarke, maybe you will too! It is one that I think is best to not do any reading about in advance. Just start reading. Not knowing anything about the book will add to the experience.
*We Have Always Lived in a Castle*
*The Wide Sargasso Sea*
*The First Deadly Sin*
*Rebecca*
*The Outsiders*
*The Talented Mr. Ripley*
