First off, I’m not suicidal.
I’m very happy with my life but I had this shower thought about a world where suicide is normal because they have proven beyond doubt that reincarnation is real.
I was curious if anyone has seen a book like this where the author has really thought out how society would develop because of it.
On the one hand, suicide wouldn’t be a huge deal because the person is not really gone forever, but on the other hand if too many people decided to push the reset button and start their lives over it could have widespread effects.
There’s an interesting cycle to this line of thought and was just curious if it has been done. Thanks!

Last Enemy by H. Beam Piper. It’s an old sci-fi story.

The Physics of Immortality by Frank Tipler
Not really the same concept as what you’re talking about but have you read The Midnight Library by Matt Haig?
