I’m about 3/4 through Shogun and am really enjoying it. While the story is terrific, one of my favorite things about this book is the many Wikipedia rabbit holes it has prompted for me. I’ve learned so much about 16th C Japan, and am eager to have another book do the same for China. I’m particularly interested in China’s Warring States period and the establishment of the Qin dynasty, but anything from ancient China sounds cool. Tai Pan by Clavell is on the list. What else?
