The Lincoln Lawyer by Michael Connelly is the first thing that comes to mind for me for something I didn’t want to put down. There are several sequels that are all very good as well.

Every book I’ve read so far by Kurt Vonnegut, something about the way he writes almost hypnotizes me

For audiobooks, I will always recommend The Golden Compass by Phillip Pullman.
I will also add that the audiobooks for the Jack Reacher Series by Lee Child keep my attention and interest. (You don’t have to listen to them in any order, they are 99% disconnected from each other, so grab whatever is available at the library or Libby app)

Reluctantly, Game of Thrones (first of George R.R. Martin’s Ice and Fire books).
Reluctantly because the series seemed to decline afterwards and I am skeptical he will live to finish it. But it was quite compelling.
