I have this idea in my mind of an Eternal Spring. Where life perpetually revolves around that season and stories and relationships happen during that time for as long as necessary, i.e. a relationship begins, lasts and maybe ends and all of that happens during spring; same with a story.

The more specific setting I’m imagining is a medieval romance set in spring with all the greenery that is possible in such times – castle walls, overgrown with ivy, cottages in beautiful lush meadows, horse riders through forests, etc. It may or may not have magic or fantastical creatures. It may be a super ordinary story on the surface but with heart.

Bonus points but not necessary if it’s something that will be easy to connect with and that will leave you smiling and dreamy (it can also have sadness in it, not mutually exclusive in my head, sometimes things end and it’s sad but when you look back you smile or cry with joy from what has been).

I know about the Pillars of the Earth novels by Ken Follett and they do seem to match some of the above criterias but for other, irrelevant to my question, reasons I don’t want to read them now.

    Thanks 🙂
