There was this book I read over a decade ago on how to write a good (suspense?) fiction story. It was by a female author and had a green cover. The tone of the book was friendly and felt like a grandmother telling you fairy tales. In it she talked about one of her (earlier?) writings and it’s about a child (with her family?) walking in the woods and it had a vivid description of the forest and the suspense of silence and cracking of twigs. Please help I love that book 😭

oh i think the title has a “joy” in it but not sure…
there’s a subreddit specifically for finding books you don’t remember the name of, google it and post there and i’m sure they’d find it for you
