Hi all, I’ve been struggling to get back in to reading for so long now, despite having the desire to be lost in a great book. So I’m hoping I can get some recommendations for a fantasy novel. Here’s what I’m looking for:
– Nice prose, listing this first intentionally
– Interesting characters
– Good world building
– Can be standalone or part of a series
– Mature themes, in the sense I would prefer a book aimed at adults, rather than one suitable for all ages
Books I’ve already read, though please don’t take these as examples of what I’m after:
First Law trilogy
Lies of Locke Lamora
What would you suggest?
