Long story short, I went through a horrible divorce from what turned out to be a very petty, greedy and shockingly low person. Accused me of the most horrible things and tried to take my professional career from me.
Thankfully, my history and reputation spoke for itself and I survived.
Or so I thought. Now, I have an awesome relationship with my young children as I always did and a wonderful loving girlfriend. But sometimes I think that my past experiences prevent me from being as carefee, open and trusting as I should be with her.
I’m not sure if any of this is making sense, but I would love suggestions to help me process what I went through and be less cynical, about my role as a father post divorce, and especially how to make myself the best partner for my girlfriend that I can be.
