I’m basically looking for an in-universe guide/manual that pretends like the reader is actually in that world.
Another example of this would be the Tributes Guide of The Hunger Games series.
The recommendations don’t need to be YA or kids fiction either. Actually it would be better if it was not. Thanks!

Hitchhikers guide to the galaxy?
The Zombie Survival Guide by Max Brooks
The Tough Guide to Fantasyland by Diana Wynne Jones (this has a conceptual sequel called The Dark Lord of Derkholm, set in a universe that follows the cliches on purpose for tourists)
How to Survive a Horror Movie by the guy that wrote Abraham Lincoln Vampire Slayer. Both books are pretty funny.
The Preppy Handbook?
Survival at horrorland requires pinch technique.
A Rough Guide to Fairyland by Dianna Wynne Jones
Two spoof guidebooks to imaginary countries in Eastern Europe and South-East Asia: *Molvania, A Land Untouched By Modern Dentistry* and *Phaic Tan*.
Or a guide to a real place but written to be as useless as possible to tourists: Irvine Welsh’s *A Visitor’s Guide to Edinburgh*.
I kinda fancied preparing a good beer guide to Valhalla.
Diana Wynne Jones’s The Tough Guide to Fantasy Land. It’s very funny.
