In the vein of World War Z, Station Eleven, Contagion, etc…
I read a thread on here the other day recommending The Hot Zone by Richard Preston and I can confirm it’s INCREDIBLE!!!
After reading that thread I started listening to the book on Spotify premium and both the text and narrator are superb!!! Wow this man can write!!
And it’s all the more suspenseful and terrifying because it’s all a true story!!! Definitely check it out if pandemics, epidemics, virology etc fascinate (and terrify) you!!!

Yes! I love books about diseases. The Hot Zone was one of the first I read on the subject. Some others you might like are Rabid, The Mystery of the Exploding Teeth (this one haunts me), and Spillover.
