Sooo basically my friend is super picky, and I only read like dark romance. I can’t think of books for her. Pls help me.
Following are the types of books she likes. Gimme suggestions for any of these.
– romance with murder mystery (no or very very few smut scenes)
– super light hearted romance in high school or college setting (few or no smut scenes)
Pls suggest any books that come to mind. I will see through them. Preferably popular books. Thanks alot.

The Truly, Devious trilogy is perfect for her. It’s set in a boarding school built by a man whose wife and daughter were kidnapped 90+ years ago. Now in present day, our main character is attending this school in hopes of solving the mystery of who did it. But she gets tangled in her own murder mystery. There is a spark of romance, and a minor “smut” scene in the first book.
The first two books end in cliff hangers, so she can read the whole main trilogy. Then there’s two other hooks following the same characters but different mysteries, which can be read as standalones.

[Paladin’s Grace](https://app.thestorygraph.com/books/38725548-348d-4053-8a69-4844d038e105) by T. Kingfisher! It’s a fantasy romance mystery. It does have some spice, but I enjoyed the book and I’m very much not one for spice myself.
