Imajica by Clive Barker is my favorite book of all time.
The Great and Secret Show, also by Clive Barker and The Pillars of the Earth by Ken Follett are up there as well.

Two books that I tried in genres I don’t generally enjoy much (western and litrpg) but tried because I saw so many recs:
Lonesome Dove by Larry McMurty
Dungeon Crawler Carl by Matt Dinniman
Very different stories obviously, one is a character drama w historical/western setting, the other being a wild romp through horror/sci fi/fantasy.
I’d also recommend The Golem and the Jinni by Helene Wecker, it was my favorite book from last year, great story, characters, turn of the century 1900’s NY, beautiful writing.

I will forever recommend “i who have never known men” it’s philosophical, it’s mystery, it’s everything.

I always recommend Pillars of the Earth by Ken Follett. I read a book every 2-3 days, and this remains my favorite book.
