Hi guys! I’m wanting to get into romance, which is not a genre I typically read. I enjoy romantic plots in other genres and I love Jane Austen, but haven’t really been able to get into other romance novels. I did enjoy Aristotle and Dante, Song of Achilles, The Seven Husbands of Evelyn Hugo, and Daisy Jones and the Six. I’m a big history buff so looking for historical romance, but preferably something that’s not egregiously historically innacurate lol. I’m okay with a bit of smut, but not really looking for erotica or something where the sex is the whole point, if that makes sense. Not really looking for fantasy either. I love romcoms, witty dialogue, and I’m always a sucker for a friends to lovers slow burn. If anyone knows of any books that fit any of these criteria, please let me know! I want to be a romance reader, I just need to find the right book!
