I’m looking for recommendations that will scare me. It’s been a while since I’ve read anything that really got to me. I’ve checked out some recommendations before but usually they’re books that scared people when they were young and the bar is considerably lower when you’re young and they don’t tend to hold up as well.

Behind Closed Doors by BA Paris – YMMV but it just hit that Oh This is not Impossible button in my brain and made it hard to sleep
I felt uneasy imagining the stuff happening in The Island of Doctor Moreau. Not really so much scary, but disturbing.
